​​BROUGHTON BRETTON MOTOR CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP REGULATIONS 2024


All championship contenders MUST be a fully paid up club member.

To claim championship points you MUST enter each event under Broughton-Bretton Motor Club on your entry form. Unless the event you have entered is outside a region, which Broughton-Bretton is not members of i.e. ANCC or closed to club event. You also must marshal on at least one event at any discipline throughout the year to classified as a contender. Your will be award 25 points to both Marshal championship and 25 to your dominate championship table for doing so. Evidence must be provided, when claiming. Picture whilst marshalling, when safe to do so or signed marshal card from event official are preferred evidence.

 The 2024 Championship will run from 1st January 2024 – 31st December 2024.

Championship Categories include Stage Rally, Road Rally, Historic Road Rally, Targa Road Rally and Marshal.
In each Category there will be a driver and co-driver/navigator championship with the exception of the Marshal Championship.

 To claim points for an event you must be a paid club member at the time you start the event.

You must submit your results to the championship co-ordinator via the official online results form, which is on the clubs website or via the official paper copy form. Your results must be submitted no later than 30 days after the event. Points submitted after this period will not be included in the championship.

 The championship will be declared provisional on 1st January 2025, they will be provisional for a period of 10 days, to allow any queries after which they will become final.

 The amount of points a contender acquires will depend on how many starters there are in the event. (i.e. If an event has 60 starters and a club members finishes 1st overall, then they will win 60 pts plus bonus points, if they finish 2nd O/A they will win 58pts, finish 3rd O/A they will win 57 points and so on.) If a member wins an award such as 1st overall or 3rd in class or even spirit of the rally or any award that is mentioned in the event regulations then they will win bonus points. The bonus points are as follows:

1st overall: 20pts – 2nd overall: 15pts – 3rd overall: 10pts

1st in class: 15pts – 2nd in class: 10pts – 3rd overall: 5pts

Spirit of the rally, mixed crew or likewise awards: 10pts

 The only award exempt from bonus points are awards similar to best presented car. This is due to award not being based on results.

A contender’s best 6 scores will be used for the championship at the end of the year.

 Championships will be placed depending on the number of championship contenders who have claimed points

 5 or more Contenders – 1st, 2nd and 3rd
4 Contenders – 1st and 2nd
3 or less Contenders – 1st

 If there is only 1 contender for a championship and they have only claimed 2 or less points claims then no award will be awarded for that championship.

 Stage Rally Events – If an event is advertised as a 2 day event (Split over 2 dates) then the contender will receive an extra 30pts if classified as a finisher in the event results. If the event is over 3 days then the contender will receive an extra 10points for the 3rd day, as long as they are classified as a finisher in the results.

This won’t be valid if the contender finishes the event in a mid event retirement class such as a Trophy rally, etc, as they are not part of the official event results.

If the contender finishes the event under super rally rules (Rally GB etc) then they will only be awarded 30 points as well as any overall and class points

 Please submit your results to the championship co-ordinator by using the official BBMC point claim form, available on the club website or via the club email address ( b-bmc@hotmail).  A Digital copy will be stored for records for 12 months after the championship has been declared final. This is the only ways you can submit you points, please do not text as the record of the points claim can be lost. The email generated by the online form or paper copy can be kept as a historical record.

MARSHAL'S CHAMPIONSHIP REGULATIONS

POINTS ARE AWARDED PER DAY (OR OVERNIGHT FOR NIGHT RALLY) – 25 PTS

INTERNATIONAL EVENT PER DAY – 30 PTS.

A MAXIMUM 4 DAYS CAN BE CLAIMED PER EVENT ON MULTI-DAY EVENTS.

POINTS MUST BE SUBMITTED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF THE EVENT. CHAMPIONSHIP RUNS FROM 1st JANUARY 2024 to 31st DECEMBER 20243 POINTS MUST BE CLAIMED VIA THE ONLINE POINTS FORM OR VIA THE CLUB EMAIL WITH SUPPORTING EVIDEANCE THAT YOU MARSHALLED.

Targa Rally Championship:

This Championship will run on the same points basis as the road rally championship.

 Historic Road Rally Championship:

This Championship will run on the same points basis as the road rally championship with the exception of multi day events: If an event is advertised as a 2 day event (Split over 2 dates) then the contender will receive an extra 30pts if classified as a finisher in the event results. If the event is over 3 days then the contender will receive an extra 10points for the 3rd day, as long as they are classified as a finisher in the results.

This won’t be valid if the contender finishes the event in a mid-event retirement class such as a Trophy rally, etc, as they are not part of the official event results.

Scatter Rally Championship:

Points will be awarded for the following each event results:
15PTS - 1ST, 12PTS - 2ND, 10PTS - 3RD, 9PTS  - 4TH, 8PTS - 5TH and so on until 1PT -12th

You do not need to claim these points, they will be submitted by the event organiser and points added automatically. Organisers of the scatters receive 15 points for organising

 6 rounds will be organised for 2023 (Jan, Feb, Mar, Sept, Oct, Nov)
